I was just looking at the GSCA headers that I received, and I have a couple of questions for those who have already installed them...

1. The kit came with 12 new bolts, all the same size. Unfortunately, none of them are studs. What did you do in the 3 driver side locations where studs are required? Talking about where the dip stick, A/C L-bracket, and alternator bracket mount. Do the stock studs fit into the tubes that are welded to the upper bolt holes?

2. Did you use the Remflex gaskets? If so, what did you think of them?

Thanks,

Mike

I've not installed the gsca headers, but I'm sure the stock header hardware will fit where you need them and as too gaskets i always use a thin bead of copper rtv and no leaks.

I installed the GSCA headers w/ the Remflex gaskets over the winter. I reused the OE studs where needed and the new hardware elsewhere. The headers look and fit great, however I did have an issue with the X-over hitting the oilpan due to my engine having a girdle.

I guess that pretty much answers my questions. I don't have a girdle, so I shouldn't have the crossover pipe issue.

Still debating whether I want to use the gaskets or just stick with a thin coat of ultra-copper. I'll probably make a game-time decision on that.

Thanks for the response.
