even if they caught them they would be back out in an hour .. Most town cops don't care about car thefts.. IF they did they could just go to the known "dumping" ground of stolen cars and arrest these dirtbags.. BUT then it's back to "if they caught them they would be back out in an hour".. after that happeneds I guess the cops get tired of the revolving door that just lets the thieves back out..
The dumping grounds are rarely the same place or time.

It never does gets old ramming them into guard rails tho and sicking the K9 on them to watch them get mauled and taken to the hospital and told they can't do anything for it right now so come back in a week or so and we will remove the gauze and hopefully the swelling and tendon damage is not to bad so you can be stictched up.:) I never get tired of that.

After they get to be stictched up that body part might work properly again. It really never does get old observing that. That to me is a much stiffer deterant then any court system could lay down. It is a revolving door when it happens like it does on TV. We shoot for no return customers. It's pretty easy to avoid tho. Stay the fuk away from other peoples property that's how.

Well its a good thing the 2 trucks next to my trailers were not started, the trucks were about a year old. Good thing they never got the fired up, or i would have been S.O.L.
I am not sure, but maybe these new trucks they smashed the columns on have that anti theft pill in the key. They did end up stealing a dakota down the road.

Definitely getting something, snitch, or what ever.
Thanks guys

If they left full beers behinf I dont think they are smart enough to take any paperwork for future "jacks"

I would say dumb kids or uneducated thieves just looking in a trailer, and got spooked or just said, man I wanted a Monte SS not this POS buick:cool:

J/K buddie, trying to make light of a bad situation.

Bryan glad to hear they didn't make off with your property. I'm going to guess your collar guard was one of those lock on styles and not a Steadfast?

I'm going to have to look into SkyGuard.

Well, they found the keys that were hidden and unlocked the big red collar lock.

The car wasnt coming out of the trailer, so the next step was to take the trailer.

Im so glad its still here, that would have taken me down a real dark road, probably shooting someone or 3....

Thanks, im still shocked about this.

Cameras work well too.

Hidden or out in the open or both.

And a DVR.

Motion lights to get good color shots.

At least between you and the cops someone should be able to identify them so you can at least shoot the right people.

I've gone to my door "cleaning" my gun which happened to be loaded at the time when the occasion occurs.

If it's your damm house why not?

If you catch them, just make them disappear......

I know how to operate backhoe's, trackhoe's, skid steer's, and anything that will make something larger than a shallow grave.

Believe me,... the thought has crossed my mind a few times.

LOL

heard it from a X car audio theif

as some of you guys know i used to manage a pawnshop and a guy i know that came in and bought stuff he'd let me in on some of the stuff he knew. this guy did rims, and the whole 9 yards and i didn't take anything from him. regardless he said that most experianced car theives use wood on cinderblocks to set your car down after removing your rims, since the wood would absorb the impact of being let down from a floor jack. makes alotta sense since most alarms use shock sensors and other things like that. also he'd have someone watch the front and back door with some heat to make sure there wasn't someone dropping shell casings at them as they made a run for it. there's alot of technology now that helps keep your vaulables in their place just make sure they have battery backups. i know it's a fine line to work in a pawnshop and deal with low lifes like that i'd also point them out in a lineup if they sold me something that wasn't theirs. if i had to pick a side my side was always with the law. too many ways to get around our security regardless if it's home or car. i hate to hear that you had that happen and i hate thieves myself and have been a victim a few times both at work and home. just try to keep your eyes open to whats new and any anti thief deterant out on the market theses days. Honest pawnbroker seems like an oxymoron but i ran a clean house or as clean as i could because trust me the state could yank your license quick and always had some type of test to try and see if you were legit or not. i had a store down the street from me closed due to them not being honest. besides i always looked at the bigger picture and i'd rather be on the right side of the law then the wrong. seemed like pawnshops always had a target on our back but then again if you deal with people like that then you gotta expect a certain amount of items to be stolen. like i said i'd give up someone who was on the wrong side anyday and maybe they'd label me a snitch but my stepdad taught me that a man is only as good as his word and if i looked you in the eye and shook your hand i wouldn't put a knife it inr back when you turned around. alot of cops and detectives liked the way i ran my store and i'll always prefer my freedom over some money you'd have to look over your shoulder after you've done the deed. what's that old saying, lay down with dogs and you wake up with fleas.

I'm using SkyGuard. It works like a charm.

Skyguard has a monthly fee or an annual fee. I don't remember pricing off hand. I did an annual along with the device itself as well as a bunch of other stuff. But I am thinking around $12 a month???

So far, what I have done with the Skyguard:...
I can enable or disable the starter.

I can set my "home zone". If the car travels outside of the area I set, I will get an e-mail. I can also opt to have a text sent to my cell phone.

I have a MPH setting. It's at 90 MPH now I think. If the car exceeds that speed, I am alerted. This is good for anyone who might take their car anywhere and leave it. You can set the speed to whatever you want.

I can pull up the actual location of the car at any time.

I can review past routes the car has taken with details such as speed on roads, turns taken, duration of route.

I have the ignition alert set to e-mail me any time the car is started and turned off. The email lets me know the location of each.

If the power supply to the unit gets low, I get an alert.

Overall, I love this thing. Much more effective than LoJack IMO.

I googled skyguard and came up with this- airport security:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Skyguard_(airport_defense_system)

Do any wires have to be cut to install Skyguard? I saw on their website that the starter can be shut down remotely, so I assume you would splice into the starter wire?
