Been having trouble with my car sending smoke signals as I let off the throttle and came to a stop. I did a compression test and everything checked out but I am sure the valve guides aren't in the greatest of shape. Well tonight I finished up installing a Big Mouth kit because the old filter was in sad shape so I decided to upgrade. I let the car idle for a little bit so I could take a trip around the block to make sure every thing was still working well since the car had sat for a while and when I went out I saw this.

So I think I know what this means, what exactly are my options?

Out the exhaust, I suspected the turbo but when I pulled the DP before I saw no signs of oil.

Looks like you're on the stock turbo oil feed line so overfeeding it is out of the question.

That much oil would lead me to say oil is getting by the turbo oil seal.

Check for shaft play to see if you have a bigger issue.

Already checked the play when I installed the big mouth kit and it did not seem too loose but it wasnt tight like it was new. The turbo is about five years old so I guess it is beyond its life expectancy.

Get it rebuilt or buy a new one. Inspect the oil return line for gunk and install a new feed line or PTE Turbo saver with the proper restrictor fitting. The rebuilds can be expensive, so can a new unit. Look for deals in the parts for sale section. Heck I sold a Precision 6765 billet for $750 that was only two months old and I didn't drive the car daily. Keep your eyes open because tax time brings upgrades and plenty of used deals.

Already got my eye on a new shiny 6265 billet ball bearing turbo. Just gotta get moved first and see what the funds look like. Getting a new return line, gaskets, and braided SS feed line when I do go ahead and do it.
