Guy here local removed knock sensor to solve KR problem

OK MR COMP/ISKY/VP/SUNOCO yeah you need fuel and cam and alot of money but if you what your doing you can get the job done ! I know if I seen a race motor not running a knock sensor it was not the first one around to do that !
I agree. I would not have any problem not running a knock sensor on any of my engines. I have not seen any knock retard ever on the stock block in my sig. For 99% of the guys on this board that run 93 octane its a really bad idea.
 
Hes now running a auto zone crate engine. He said it has Forged pistons so its good...LOL
The other motor was a built motor when he bought the car and he hammered the rod bearings due to such bad knock.
Reused the headbolts on the old engine. He was told about the TTY bolts and he said he a SBC can reuse theirs so hes doing the same...LOL

I've seen a Buick specialty shop reuse TTY bolts. :o
