Hi guys,

today I installed some new drag radials, I went up from a 275/50/15 to a 275/60/15. I was out cruising around for a couple of hours. I notice that when my car is cold, the 1-2 shift is very firm and fast. After several passes on a back road, my 1-2 shift has softened up, and also feels as if it takes longer, my 2-3 shift is still very firm and fast. My trans is rebuilt, with the following parts, Alto Red's, Alto Red extra wide band, CK billet forward drum, kolene's, super servo, I use type F fluid and have a trans cooler, converter is a 10 inch PATS, 3200 stall, other mods in Sig.

The best way to describe is the 1-2 shift it just soft and prolonged after car gets hot. Shift kit is a Trans GO but I do have a CK kit new in the box(to be installed) . Trans was rebuilt less than 3,500 km ago. I have not played with the TV cable and have since parked the car. Could there by anything wrong, I don't remember 1-2 shift being this way, it has always gotten a bit softer once warm but this feels very different, feels like it's sliding into second.

Any advice is much appreciated as I wait for the local GN guru to free up some time to take it for a spin.

Hook a Pressure gauge up to it & see if it's lower when Hot. May be a Pump or Seal problem.

Broken band anchor. I hope this was a fluke. Any way since it's being rebuilt again, I'll be adding a few more billet parts and finally get CK's calibration kit put in, seeing as I've had it sitting new in the box collecting dust for a cpl of years. Any must do's you gurus could think of to help this thing live.

I'm of the belief "Since it's out", or "while your at it"

Yeah, a 300M Band Anchor.
May want to check with Chris about the older Recalibration Kit as He's updated it several times.

Any ideas as to why the ban anchor failed? Is there an improved piece? As for CK Kit, I have the latest version, the one where Chris stamped his own plates. The rest of the trans looks mint, all frictions, steeles etc....
