nice...but what if their are cups in the holder,does it hinder moving the gear shifter???or even without cup,is there any problem with shifting

It doesn't look like it... If it got in the way, it wouldn't be very effective for using when you're driving... At least I don't think so.

Looks like somoene has been watching my site. Also trying to get the manufacturer to offer these WITHOUT cupholders so the ashtray switch panels can still be used. And possibly a shorty version with cupholders that will allow the same thing.

I've sold plenty of these without any complaints about shifting issues. Let's face it, the majority of us just put in overdrive and and let the trans do the shifting any way. If you are doing some serious track runs then I would just take it out of the car. Comes right off.

Make the cupholders go into the back seat area, only one needed too.

Strong gripped for all sizes and centered or offset towards the pass. side for easy access from the drivers seat. :smile:

Never noticed that the ashtrays are in different locations, on the GP the ash tray is between the shifter and the dash, where the open box on the Buick is

No I had these listed for Malibu's & elky's long before you had the Buick units. They, (Classic consoles) had been sent to me via a Monte carlo vendor. When we bought them & later they sent us info on the GN units.
We also carry units for the full bench, split bench & mini console cars.
The consoles can lay on the seat or on the floor. They give you console & cup holder applications.

The cup holder only units we have slide into the ash tray mounts.
We carry different colors for the non GN guys with blue,tan, or burgundy interior.

Even with our shorty shifters we have not had any problems with interference with shifting.

I haven't got the bench seat or the floor units up yet. I have a blue unit & an 87 T Blue on blue out there with a bench in it. I'll get you some pics & get it on line.
I have to place an order for some more today to take to Burlington. I'll order up a tan unit for you. Then send you pics installed on the 86 or 87 Gold T I have.

those are nice BUT i prefer the cup holders in front of the shifter.
my current DD has them like this one and i have gotten tangled with a cup here and there.

There's no room in from of my shifter with the gauges in the way...
I don't really care about the cup holder part since I rarely if ever allow a drink in the car (maybe just bottled water)... I was thinking of being able to sit and drive the car the without the gangster lean
