Permatex #2 is my favorite sealant to use on wet thread head fasteners.
Make sure threads are cleans...I clean stud and block threads with a good solvent that drys real clean, then apply thin coat of sealant near start if threads on stud.
Also if you use the 9441pt fel pros, you'll notice the gaskets are tacky...don't touch the surfaces of the gasket...hold from out side edges. Make extra sure the head and block deck mating surfaces are clean.
Acetone and white lint free cloth until they come up clean.
