Head Light Upgrade to HID

Hey guys. One of my biggest gripes about driving my car at night was the poor visibility with factory head lights. Some time ago I decided to upgrade to HID lights. I think most everyone is familiar with how much better and efficient the light is and that's one of the reasons why all the high end cars come equipped with them now.

Recently we added HID lighting to our product line. They're available in a few different configurations. Most popular is the 4300K and 6000K, which is the color/shade of the light itself. The 4300K is a very bright/clear white while 6000K has a slight bluish tint to it. There are other colors available as well. I'll post some pics as soon as I get a chance.

How close is the HID kit to Plug in Play? Will the headlight shells you sell need to be ordered along with the kit itself? What type of warranty? On a side note, I never received a price on you upper dash speaker panel.

It's so simple, even I can do it. Don't laugh. :biggrin:

You don't have to get the head lights I sell. I'm actually adding a couple of other head light options this week or next. However, you will need new head lights. Upgrading to HID lights requires a different head light housing. You might be able to find one at a local parts store.

As far as the dash. It's still sitting in my shop. I haven't decided whether I will be using the factory dash in my car or not. As soon as I get that figured out, you'll be the first to know.

The bi are available as well. That's what my sister's Yukon and brother in law's F150 use. They cost more since it's a bit more complex.

Do these come with a housing/reflector designed for HIDs, or are they just bulbs used in a reflector designed for halogen bulbs?

I've seen some of these HID kits that broadcast light all over (not a defined cut off) and really irritate/blind over drivers at night. A good lit would have a highly defined cut off and not much stray light being broadcast.

I have factory HIDs in one of my cars, and am looking for a properly designed HID kit for the Buick that matches a factory designed/DOT approved kit. If I can't, I will go with some E-code European lights.

Could you please take some pics with the headlights shining on a dark wall (and post them) so we can see what kind of horizontal cut off line they have? Most people just take a picture of the lights shining into the camera, which really doesn't show anything other than the color of the lights (bluish versus the yellow of halogen).

Sorry to be picky, but I don't want to be blinding other drivers (as a lot of these HID "kits" tend to do).

After having HIDs on my daily driver, it would be nice to have them on the Buick too.

i wouldn't see a reason to do high beams, but doing the high beams should be the same as doing the low beams.

Most people just do the same thing for high beams or they'll go with a slightly different color.
I am working on a high beam package though for our cars as wel as a few other cars that I've ben contacted about.

I sure will. Some of the lights out there are ridiculous in terms of how they put out light. A proper set up with quality parts is key. Although there are various cars with factory hid lights that seem to be a lot more blinding than other makes.

Most HIDs come on slowly & hi beams need to come on immediately.
I hope Red C5 can get the startup issue resolved.
