I bought 2 set ,but 1 set that is the primary set (low beams) are also bright lights. When i hit the high beams the h4 hid buld (low beam)actually telescopes out instead of turning off and remains on (It expose's more of the bulb) .Hid regular bulbs dont have low and high beams they are just low beam in less you do the telescoping ones . However you can wire the hid kit (low beam) to come on when you hit the high beams by running a jumper wire from the high beam connector to the low beam connector and thats when all 4 will be one. GOOD LUCK!!!
fyi- the higher the number on the hid the weirder the colors (purple and such) .i run 60000k look great just a hint of blue in it . i would like to try 4300k they look even brighter!!!!

I always thought my head lites were very brite, but really never gave it much
thought til this thread popped up, now I know why!!

No doubt, they are good headlights. A previous owner must have done a lot of night driving.

For those that built their own kits. Did you have to splice into the stock harness or how did that work?

no

H4 buld has the same type of connector as on our turbo buicks headlight plug. Although you might have to move some wires around (very easy)in the factory harness or just buy a h4 harness adapter like i did and i switch the wires in the adapter harness .it's be awhile so im still trying to remember what i did.i think one wire had to be moved in the harness for the hid kit to work on the GN. This might not be the case on others kits so i dont want to speak for all the kits . They work flawless

Thanks for the info. Any more info you could give would be great. I'm tired of looking at my stock leaky fogged up headlights that hardly shine light on the road at night so I'm thinking an HID switch is in the future.

the kit i got had no splicing, just two flat blade terminals that needed to be plugged into the factory headlight connectors... it was pretty simple.

my 6000k's are awesome at night, i have them aimed pretty good, maybe only a few feet difference in distance(didnt want them pointing up and blinding someone), but anything that the light touches on the road is so easy to see now! the lights are awesome:D

the only thing i noticed was that on a humid and drizzly day there was a little condensation in one of my headlight housings... figured it was from the two holes in the back of the bulb, which i guess are there for a reason??? or could i put a dab of silicone over these holes?

do HID's need breather holes?
