I was looking at head stones today, just lost my Mom. Any way they have several little add on's you can get. One of them was a Grand National. That should make mine easy to do some day.

It is bronze

Sorry for your loss.

Nice add on for a headstone.

Very sorry for the loss of your Mom.........that's got to be hard.....sure hope you'll be alright.......I'm always at a loss of saying the right thing in situations like this, so, God watch over you and give you comfort.

My deepest sympathies.

But when considerring your own mortality. They'll carve that stone any which way you like, or you can have anything at all blasted onto that stone if you want a more traditional shape. It'll look like a black and white picture. We had a nice wide scene of Cape Hatteras put on my Grandparents stone above their names. It's identical to a picture they'd taken 50-yrs previous.

A local monument company makes Harley shaped stones. I've seen a few nicely detailed ones bearing testament to local riders in cemetaries.

You can have anything you want here, and in the ever after.

I lost my mom two years ago from breast cancer

There's not a day that goes bye that I don't think about her....
I'm sorry for your loss

one of my friends got killed in a car accident back in 95.. his family got a pic of his 68 Chevelle engraved into his headstone.. makes it easy to find..

I was in kentucky and saw a stone shaped like a guitar. really cool

Yeah, that's what I would love to have for mine..I'd love a guitar tombstone!.......but, alas, due to this sad economy, the plan worked out so far by my wife and I is as follows:

I'll be cremated.
My ashes will be poured on the side of RT. 621 near the church where we were marred at.
My headstone will be an old galvanized trash can lid (45 gallon, thank you) all dented and scratched.
My name, date of birth/death will be written on it with a magic marker (which will be washed off at the first rain)
That will be propped up over my ashes with the broken red Grand National taillight lens that I foolishly dropped on the floor last year.
This would probably be blown over and all around the place due to the trucks that travel on this road 50 mph above the speed limit.
Alas, my true location of my earthly remains will be forever lost.:(
My wife will, (when she's not out on a date in my '87 Grand National with some young buck) go find my trash can lid marker and rewrite my name on it (as long as it's not blown into someone's hog pen out there) and place it "anywhere" on the side of the road.
She will not sue, nor complain if some stray mangly dogs come by and pisses all over my trashcan lid marker.

If she changes her mind, then she promised to dump my ashes into the turbocharger of my Grand National while reving it up to 5000 rpms (after her date with that young buck)

Yes, I plan things well around here.......

Again, Sixbanger, I'm so sorry about your Mom..........keep the faith, trust in the Lord....He will take care of you..........it's going to be a little tough for while, but we all face or have faced this heartbreaking event.

God watch over you and God bless.

Sorry about your mom. I lost my mother and father 2 days apart, it was very hard on me and my sister. That is a neat head stone, but I would prefer to be buried in my car:)
