Interesting question. I never worked on one of the 60's version of the Buick V6's, but from what I know, the heads and manifolds ought to work just fine.

Why not change over to an even fire crank too? cranks, pistons and rods for theses engines are easy enough to find. And you could move up to the Buick DIS ignition system.

I remember working on the late 70's Odd fire V6's and they were rough running ....."Rough as a Cob". Not that the even fire engines are completely smooth, but definitely a world of difference.

Um... I don't think it would work, the 225 is 3/4 of a 300 V8 which is decendent from the 215 Al engine. The modern 3.8 both odd and even fires are 3/4 from the later Buick 350 introduced in 68. While I do remember that you can physically bolt 350 heads to a 300 block and vis versa, the cam stuff is all wrong. I'd expect you to run into simular problems trying to put the later heads on the early block.

Just some stuff I thought of,
