I don't see an exaust section, so I will post this question here. I am looking to run some 10s next year. I have a cracked header. What brand is a good choice for the money vs/ performance? Poston? ATR? Any other types floating around out there?

Scott

From my understanding the postons are pretty good as are the atr's. Problem is that most of the people I know that bought either of these new headers to replace the cracked factory headers also cracked them pretty quick.

New headers almost ready for the market!

We will have new headers in about a month. The fixture is made, and will test fit the pre-production unit on a GN next week. Have used the prototype versions and they have been into the 9's.

These will be much heavier gauge stainless tubing than any header currently on the market, and cracking should NOT be a problem.

They have 1/2" thick flanges for better sealing and have big ports, They can be used with a regular TH style downpipe. Will fit 8 or 14 bolt heads.:)

Nick,

do you have a price in mind for them and will they be available with flanges for an external delta or race gate?

Thanks,

Nick, how will the two cylinder banks merge? Like stock, or like ATRs, or Kenne Bells old stuff? I will wait to see them before I order. Winter time is a good time to save a little money, I can wait.

Headers on web site!

The headers shown on my web site are the prototype ones we tested. The flanges are now much different to accomodate 8 and 14 bolt heads.

The crossover is shorter even than stock, and comes up in front of the starter. This makes install VERY easy. The crossover joints overlap and are flanged to prevent leaks.

The initial design is for a stock replacement with better than stock performance. In future plans, a performance model would have 1-5/8" tubes instead of 1-1/2". Possibly a 4-bolt turbo flange or racegate version or options would be available.

We are trying to keep the kit price under the available comparable headers. Should be announcing price and availability in a few weeks. At that point, they would be on the shelf for immediate shipment

Nick, are you working with RJC on these headers?

If not, looks like there will be two new SS headers to hit the market in the coming months.

My poston headers look faded now and the turbo is slightly clocked a few degrees up so the inlet bell is really close to the IC up pipe. I have to run a 1/2 spacer for the Turbo inlet to clear my 3" up pipe.
