The new movie Alien vs Predator will have a GN in it also, it Belongs to Richard Soon up in BC Canada, When Richard and I were talking about this at TT8 in Bremerton the movie company took very good care of his car which is a high 10 and low 11 sec car. He filled the tank with C-16 and turned the boost down just in case. Richard, I hope you do not mind me saying this!!

Ron

They are playing the trailer for that movie in the theaters now. I saw Death Sentence Sunday. The GN isn't in the trailer. I think that movie comes out on Christmas. It looks better than the first Alien vs Predator anyway.

Vin Diesel driving a GNX??? You sure that aint XXX part 3?

maybe they'll end up using a black regal, and clone it to be a GNX, as like they did i belive last year for a Toyota commercial where they used a 83 regal, but had gnx badges and all.

Either way, it'll make me mad if they use a ricer/v8 turbo sound, and obviously not the V6 turbo we all know and love, along with the wastegate, and NO BOV

"...put Diesel behind the wheel of a 1987 Buick GNX. Not sure what Walker and Gibson will be driving, but I'm hoping for a '73 Gremlin and a '69 Pinto."

Is it me, or is the author poking fun at the fact that Vin is driving a Buick? The a$$wipe probably doesn't even know what a GNX is.

Sounds like he figures the Buick GNX is right up there with the 73 Gremlin and the 69 Pinto. I didn't even know they made Pintos as far back as 69.

Do you guys remember the 25 block "qtr mile" races in the first one? You can't expect them to treat the buick with any respect, they can't even get any basic details right.

That was a looong 10 sec race. My n/a limited coulda finished faster than that. Settle down guys, just movies. ENTERTAINMENT-NOT REAL LIFE! Except the jumps in DUKES, those were real:cool: -with dummies driving:redface:

Dont fret yet guys. I have a buddy that owns the "hero car" from the 3rd F&F BEFORE it was changed to a drift movie, Its an E46 widebody M3. It ended up not being used at all. They change alot of ideas as the movie evolves, very common to see the cars get dropped, or used as a back ground piece. Craig Lieberman is the guy who has done the car scouting and building plans for the movies. His personal Supra was the first Paul Walker/Vin Diesel car, his wifes Maxima was also in the first one as one of the "team" cars, and a guy I know had his red integra in it w/ JaRule at the wheel. My old wide bodied civic was actually casted for the 2nd F&F after being spotted by execs, but was never used as well. My bet is you will see it, but it will not have an integral part in the movie. Its way too early for them to be that setteled on this. If it does show up, I see Craig making it real low, big wheels, and hopefully still black.
Time will tell.

Is there any way your "buddy" can get a hold of someone that is involved with part 4? I was thinking if someone can show Lieberman or whoever is involved in the movie that there is a following for these cars. I'm sure I'm not the only one here on the board that would love to see the turbo buick one of the main cars, or hero car of the movie. Even the GS guys would probably love to see it. Add in all the Gbody owners, and there would be a lot of happy car guys. Yes a tire-smokin' wheelie is out there, but if a charger can do it, a TB definitely can;)

I am sure my buddy Rusty still has Liebermans #, the still talk occasionally. I can see if he can verify this to be true or not about a TR, but if Lieberman isnt involved for some reason, we will be left where we started. Praying a TR does not get riced out! Let me see what I can do.
BTW, the rate you get paid to have your car used in these movies is insane... and then you get it back and sell it as a movie car. The red integra sold to a guy overseas at $60,000+ US not to mention the "use fee" the owner collected for his car being gone 6 months.

LOL! I got a movie car for them:biggrin: My car can be the "before" car they pull up with on a trailer like they did on the first one;) . The interior is trashed, tires are bald and mismatched, front fenders are spray painted, a tree fell on it and it was badly repaired, the driver's quarter is in primer, trunk opens with a screwdriver, fillers are missing, omong other things, and it smokes from the bad turbo. But it is a running and driving car. Yup its a train wreck. It is a discrace to TBs everywhere but it would be more embarrasing to see it in a movie:redface: Sad part is I love it so much I would never sell it, its too much fun when it does run:cool:
