Helmet?

What kind of helmet do I need? And where can I get one? (cheap)

Hey Guy,
You need a DOT and SNELL racing approved helmet. I picked up mines from Harley Davidson in Waipahu for $130 Thats the cheapest I could find. I think the model is the Cirrus CL-12

One question? Maybe two What is a" DOT and SNELL" Is DOT department of transportation???

Hey Guy,
Yes, DOT is Department of Transportation and SNELL is........Gee, I don't know but, I know the helmet has to be at least SNELL 85 minimum.

Got to go Helmet hunting now. Where else do they sell helmets? Or has anyone bought one for less than $130? And from were? What things do I look for or should have in a helmet besides DOT & SNELL? And my head

Hey Guy,
Id try all of the Motorcycle shops. If the helmet is DOT and SNELL approved then it would have a sticker on the helmet saying that it is. I would try to get one that has good venting precautions to keep your head cool in the long lines!!
