Hey I didn't say one way or the other what I think. Frankly I don't care, I have a gn and a t-type lol. I just think its an endless debate. Someone will be on here every few months calling their "T" a "turbo T" and someone will debate it. Its like F/M vs. SLIC, Stock ECM vs aftermarket, powermaster vs anything else, thermostats vs non, the idea that anything before 1986 is scrap iron, etc. None of these debates will ever end. The horse is beat so bad you can't even tell it was a horse. I can't believe I actually read it and posted twice in it. I am disappointed in myself, that's all.

I could always start a new thread asking :

"What is the best oil to use?"
or
"Who makes the best bumper fillers?"
or
'Which spark plugs to use?"

Have any of those topics been covered yet? :D

Made a comment on a 87 Turbo T on for sale on Youtube to help inform a seller several months ago. Got a reply from a guy that the 1547 WE-4's are the only Turbo T's in the 87 model year. Lets set him straight that in 87 the T-Type package was dropped from the Regal line and all (LC-2)base Regals, Limited and WE-4 are all Turbo T's.

Dood - you were arguing with a robot on YouTube! :D
At least that chick sounds like a robot.
I wonder is she is a hot robot?
And fully functional? ;)

The more I think about it and more I talk to other we4 owners, I don't think the car was built to be anything special. Most we4's I've found on the internet are optioned fairly well. I think the low mile ebay we4 that was posted a few years back even had a power seat with concert sound. Mine is one of the lowest optioned we4s I've found so far. I think the whole point of the car becoming an option was for the people that wanted an all black car with black bumpers but didn't want GN interior. Not everyone likes it, and this was a way to get an all black car with plain interior, albeit only one color option.

Well lower price tag always leads to customers having a little extra scratch to get some more goodies from the dealership. Concert sound, lighted visor, digital dash. I feel it's another T. A GN is a GN cause of the chrome wheels, the two tone seats, and the spoiler. The biggest myth I still don't trust is the 1547!! I still think there were more WE4's made.

I wonder why you couldn't order a sage turbo regal? Was the color discontinued on reveals that year?

I call my 87 Turbo Regal a Turbo T, since it is a turbo and has the T package. Marketing just saying the WE4 was the only Turbo T, that's kind of a weak argument for WE4's. WE4 is a classic though, would like to have one, but it's no faster than what you could order as a regular TR like mine with alum wheels and alum bumper supports. What if they were about to launch an ad saying you could order any regal as a Turbo T, well, they just released WE4 as a Turbo T, they couldn't if they wanted to then release marketing saying any Regal could be a Turbo T, thus limiting the exclusivity of the WE4 between the GN and the GNX... Sounded like they could try to upcharge a WE4 vs a regular TR.

My WE4 stickers in at $16661 pretty low price.

I'm gonna go with what I stated above. Its the only thing that makes sense. The we4 is nothing special as far as I'm concerned. I like the cars because they are all black and have plain grey bucket interior. My favorite combo

Are you talking about 1987 still?

I have a dealer marketing book for 1986 and their info shows Light Sage Metallic Code 43 "not available on Regal T Type" (vinyl tops were also unavailable) Additionally, the Medium Sage -code 45A accent stripe was "not available on the Regal TType".

D84 and WH1 color options where available along with:
White- 11
Silver Metallic-12
Grey Metallic- 15
Black -19
Cream Beige- 54
Light Brown Metallic-56
Brown Metallic- 62
Light Blue Metallic- 25
Dark Blue Metallic- 31
Rosewood Metallic- 71
Dark Red Metallic- 79

So, since I've seen at least a couple sage Turbo Regals, it must have been offered in 1987.

Another thing is that I know I've seen some real oddball colors (some options as well) that "looked stock" but I don't know their codes. I saw a chocolate brown exterior paint with blackout trim. I am inclined to think it was stock because who the hell would paint their turbo buick chocolate brown on purpose? (Except maybe me ) . I've also seen what looked like a WH1 paint scheme in the D84 paint codes of rosewood and dark red metallic - this one even had exterior electroluminescent Coach Lamps up in the quarter vinyl (not a turbo car but still pretty cool to see.)

Sorry for the Heisenberging your thread OP, the question about sage got me to wondering...

Search up the pic threads. Lots of color combos represented. Also a limited pic thread. Great time waister.

Since my new to me 87 Regal has Y56, W02, and LC2....What would a WE4 have that mine doesn't? other than Grey seats? This whole thread has made my head hurt..:depressed:
Thanks, Kyle

Black paint, black bumpers, not hood ornament, no regal emblem on each quarter panel, and a we4 on the spid.
