I bought a B&M tranny drain plug kit to install in my 200-4R. The instructions says, "Locate correct position for drain plug. It is very important that drain plug be placed in the correct position to avoid interference with internal tranny parts."

Where is the best position? (front, middle, rear, driver or passenger side)
Does it matter?

Thanks

i dont think it matters much, but good luck cause theyve always leaked when i had them.:D

I have these B&M plugs on three of my cars and NOT ONE leakes a drop/ Because I use thread sealant:) This is a must..

Mine always leaked. Followed torque and install directions to the tee. Sealer, no sealer, didn't matter.

Frank-
i believe it. Some other guys around here have them and no leaks. i think the torque in the instructions is too high cause it always deforms the nylon washer. I actually called B&M about the torque and leaks and they blew me off. i get them welded in from now on.

yea Mitch, the big nut is NOT tight. In fact I can spin it with a wrench easy. I think thats the key:)
