Hey everyone... Im new to this forum and Im begining my new adventure into the Buick world. Im in the process of doing a mach-up(hope Im spelling it right) in a 1967 Camaro. Ive searched for the answer and nothing that I found really answered my question. So, here's my conculsion...

When you bolt up a TH400 to a "109" block you can either go and put a JW bell housing on or go with a TCI adapter?

If I go the TCI adapter route than I would have to run a tranny shield. Where as with the JW bell housing I can kill two birds with one stone. Right??? or am I missing something here????

Thanks!!!

Its a pleasure being a part of such a great group of people!!!!:D Ive been reading posts for a while now and finally decided to become a member.

Why don't you just use a trans with the BOP bolt pattern? There's thousands of them out there and there cheap.

Yeah the BOP tranny is the ticket. Go to your local junkyard and look for a early 70's model pontiac catalina or other big boat like that. I bought one a few years ago for 200.00 for the whole car from a persons yard that would still fire off. Jumped timing chain but it would run barely. I mainly bought it just for the 400 tranny in it. Also look for any of the old buick boats out there as well. Good luck Daniel Ray
