I'm in a hotel room in detroit at woodward dream cruz. My TV cable is kinda broken, it will not adjust by the regular methods(pull all the way out, listen for ckick, set.) mine isn't doing that and I have no starting point. might there by a starting point like 5 notches showing.
It doesn,t want to kick down, shifts early & soft. I think i read it,s better that it shifts hard opposed to soft. I'm 200 miles from home and I need some direction
PS This is on a Hot air
Mart

I have never had much luck with the auto set way of doing it with the gas pedal. I basically tighten the cable forward until it prevents the throttle from going to WOT , then back it off one click.

I can't remember but I think it is two notches showing on the open side of the throttle body for a new cable and older ones require 3 notches. Hope you get it fixed. Not good driving around with sloppy shifts

Thanks guys!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'll give it a try,at least I'll know I'm moving in the right direction. There are literally a million people down here, and I can't just pull over to play with it.
heres one more, I swapped out my caspers FP gauge for an autometer one and I'm lost as to the setting I had on the caspers. Do you have some WB # I should be getting, running out of time before I'm asked to leave the room. I just replaced the intake gaskets before I left. I had the tune in the ball park before we left. I seems I have no power down low and very slow spool.
On a good day I can run with the big dogs, but down here it's it's sad when I get blown away across every intersection!! Bad showing for the buicks!!!

So what is the cruise like? Are they letting people have a little bit of fun?
The Cruisin' Ocean City Show has taken on a 1940 Germany - like feel to it:o

Thanks guys!!! I got it set very close. I even got to drive it a couple of miles before the high speed fan relay melted and killed the fans, then started a leak somewhere in the heater hose. 20 stops,15 gal water & antifreeze and 200 mi later I made it home.
Woodward is awsome! Just plan on bumper to bumper crawl, no parking, mine vans in cruise lanes. Way to many classic 2009 mustangs belly button cars. BUT you WILL see more classics of every make and model you have evr seen in one Place
PS Brad thanks for taking my call.
