Hats, t-shirts, window stickers, key chains, ext. It is a good idea.

I'm for window stickers, just the right size to fit the opera window.

Anyway, let us know how we can help Jay.

Maybe car cruise season is stuck in my head but a Turbobuick online 50/50.. would be cool..
or maybe a bi weekly raffle off of a gift certificate to supporting vendors..

So far this is just speculation on what will be done. I'd love to get rid of the adds, especially those friggin multimedia ones. As far as a banana hammock goes, that's just kinda scary.o_O A "donate" button can be done simply and I'd bet there would be more donated than anyone would believe.;) One of the forums I visit put up a donation button up last year and it supports the board full, and it's not near as big as this one.

If this were a magazine it wouldn't be free, there would still be advertising we would have to read, and we would have to wait for our issue. Also there would be no almost instant help, no search function, and no drama. We must have these things.

I will pay the hell with ads that is all u see. Win u watch a 30 min show 15 or more is ads or every time u push a button a ad comes up. Vendors ads would be good though.

Yea I will continure to do this and maybe do it more often now. It scrolls - I troll.

I might even find a vendor that can sell me a reasonably configured computer that won't freeze up on banners. ;)

The Spoolfool 2 cents.

Whatever you do to increase revenue, make it fun. Not everyone has the extra coin laying around like Ty and Charlie do.
Here's my plan.
Every year, come out with a new TB.com T-shirt. Sell them for at LEAST 25 bucks each. Once a month we do a photo contest to see who can post up the most unusual picture that involves that years T-shirt. Pictures would have to not endanger anyone and be in good taste. (unless you're a TB.com Gold Account Member:D). Each month a different vendor here could donate something for that months contest. Contest would be judged by Shane, The donating vendor, admin or whoever. The first of the year a new T-shirt goes on sale and the contest starts over again. Maybe, a vendor who's set up for large distribution like GBody parts ;) could handle the deal.

It would raise money, gain advertisement for the site, showcase a different vendor each month, get more posts and be fun. I'd donate a bumper filler for a month. I'm sure that other vendors would do the same.

I'm in for a membership fee, or the donation button as well. I also agree that I would like to see some TB gear like shirts, hats etc. I think every member of this site has gotten information, parts or something else in which they may not have gotten anywhere else. This site is important to members, vendors and also the next wave of turbo buick enthusiasts, I'm all about helping this site.

Sounds like the best proactive type of event. Not only does it help publicize our site and vendors but also brings the community together as a whole. I don't mine donating while buying a t-shirt. Granted that would be $45 less I can put into the ole girl for the year but will be well worth it.

I'm with SPOOLFOOL. Great idea. There is a bunch of good ideas . Donation button and then let the people that donate in the raffles. Do that and see how fast people donate. Donation is no problem. Say 5 bucks a month? that's not too much and is easy for people to come up with.Thats less than a pack of smokes. Look at it like this. The donation will be saving your life.Thats where non profit comes in just in case the IRS wants to get involved.

T-shirts / apparel FO SHO!! Made in USA (maybe Canada). People will pay for quality. Sweatshirts, hoodies, hats, decals, keychains. Heck, you could license a vendor to have the stuff made and sold, then just collect a royalty on each piece. Vendor could make bucks AND the site. We have some of the most honest vendors in the country on here.

Subscription works too.

Magazines are full of ads. Keep em. This site has 10,000 times more meaningful stuff in it than any car mag.
