Help - Want to do "Budget" Turbo Build on 3800sc Ser2

Hi guys,
New to this site. I am building a kit car for my wife for her birthday. I have a 3800 ser2 in the shop now and want to find a budget way to add a turbo. I do not know very much about them, but was told by a few guys that are very knowledgable to find either a GN turbo or a HX35. I am here to get your opinions on GN turbos for this application. Also, what is a good price for a used one?
Engine: 02 GTP L67 ser2
Tranny: 02 GTP 4t65eHD
Tires: 285/35/19 (27"diameter)
PCM: 02 GTP
Chassis:Stretched 86 Fiero

Hopefully your budget is upwards of $10k range. Turbo, headers, ex plumbing, and fuel management will eat up a lot of $. Stock gn turbos are cheap and plentiful. $325 shipped for a fresh one if you need it.

You would way ahead of the game to find a rusted out GTP and swap everything out. A friend of mine did a S/C 3800 to a Fiero swap a couple of years ago. He piece mealed it together and tried to with the crappy Isuzu tranny. Stupid move. By the time he found all the pieces he needed and refabbed all the half assed stuff he ended up with a just OK running car. Just stick to the GTP stuff and the aftermarket swap stuff. After you get it all figured out then if you want to try turboing it then do the gutted s/c swap stuff. Someone else I know did the swap the right way (sticking to all GTP stuff and minor mods for more performance) and his little bucket screams.
