I don't know if this is the flare everyone talks about or what...Flare to me means that it's slipping for a sec. when it shifts.

My car at WOT and sometimes at alitle over 1/2 throttle will shift and it's like the motors revs like I'm powershifting a manual, then it SLAMS into gear, not to harsh, but enough to bark the tires (which I want, but the rev beforehand worries me.

Mostly 2nd and 3rd...I haven't really gone WOT 4th.

2nd is the bad one though.

That sounds like the 2nd gear band is prob slipping...is it a stock trans?

It has been rebuilt, has about 5000 miles on it, but it's not like it's slipping...That's what my last trans was doing...It's like it's in neutral for a split sec.

This is exactly what our car has done all season..... at first i taught it was me ( I only drive it at the track basicly) but i noticed it on a video one time so now i know its true:( IF we dont sell it i think we are going to do a 400 swap

At least it ain't just me.

I drive mine to much for a 400 swap.

I knew someone who was having a similar problem...has it been since the rebuild? I think he said that he just messed with the TV cable some....

he's a member on here, but I don't remember his screen name (need to be able to search for town cause I know he's in Amarillo and his real name), you may ask him and see what he did.

Also, if you did go to a 400, you could always get the gearvendors unit that gives you OD on all gears.
