I know it's not a Buick but it is my daily driver. Anyone have an idea or some help as to why my fuel pump stays on after I turn my 91' Explorer off? I can pull the key and walk out an hour later and the pump is still humming??? Odd huh?

Bad fuel pump relay,Usually located under the hood, drivers side i believe

Yeah sounds like the relay is sticking to me

good luck and one quick test is find a relay that is similar to the fuel pump relay and trade them out. I always liked using the horn relay so if it's stuck closed then you get to blast the horn non-stop until you get the relay back out.

Sounds like a good one to test it with  I get off at 12 so when I get home I'm gonna tinker around with it. Thanks again guys!

You were right on my man  I swaped it with the horn relay and it was stuck wide open. For once a simple problem to solve. Thanks again!
