After consulting with Bob B. abut a TCC lockup issue I have been having, we have narrowed it down to my TPS reading at cruise. I seems that I am getting a higher reading than normal therefore the ECM thinks I'm giving more throttle than I really am. On Bob's car, he can cruise at 80 mph, with the TPS under 1.0 V. Me on the other had I'm sitting at about 1.7 V at only 55mph. What should I start looking into first?

You telling me it takes almost 1/2 throttle to keep your car going at cruise? If not, it could be a bad tps, but its hards to say without being with the car and checking voltages/pedal positions.

Now that you put it that way, It does seem quite excessive, I'm prob only usibg about a quarter of the pedal travel. I do have another TPS sensor floating around I will have to try. If it's not that, whare else could I look?

I'd be looking for the reason you need to press the gas so far to sustain highway speed.

Ok, I was thinking it was a sensor prob since I'm having no drivability issues at all. The car seems very responsive around town. I'll uncap the dump and go for a test ride, that would take my exhaust out of the loop. Any other suggestions on what else to check?
