Hey guys, I had to tear the engine apart again in order to replace my lifters. So I figured I would make a EGR block off while I was at it and this is what I came up with. It should work right?

Took my cruise control, and the metal vacuum tree off too. New turbo to intake bell seals too!

Also got an aluminum vacuum block, and a 2 1/2 inch downpipe going on, post pics of that soon.

Thanks for looking!

It should work, i dont see why not. I was going to make my own also, but havent got to it yet.

It took literally 3 minutes to weld the plug up and grind it back down semi-smooth. And another 10 minutes to make the plate out of aluminum. I don't know the effects of the block off plate and plug, but I'm excited about it.

:-)

I did something similar...took a flat, thin piece of stainless that I cut out of a spare stock egr tube, flattened it, then cut it round, placed it in the hole where the egr tube would thread into the manifold and just screwed the nut off the same spare egr tube in blocking it off....then made a similar block off plate but out of 1/4" plate steel.
