After owning my Hayabusa for 6yrs or so and taking long weekend rides I guess I am getting a little older and have been secretly craving a nice sporty cruiser type motorcycle..well...........

I rode my first Honda Goldwing last Saturday and all I can say is wow!!!!

Handled like a dream, very comfortable, plenty of power, etc....

Anyone here have one?

best bike i ever owned, I traded a custom 67 triumph tiger 650 for it... put on gobs of miles and never had a lick of problems

You know you're getting old when you like Goldwings!

Saw a show on Discovery about Honda motorcycles. I didn't realize they are the standard of cruisers. I say get one.

Those GoldWings will spoil you.You ride one for awhile and no other road bike will do.I had the sidecar and trailer too so the wife and kid could both go.Traveled and camped from Idaho to Maine trouble free.Great bikes.

My dad has a 05 Honda 750 Shadow Aero dressed with every chrome piece you can get. Very nice bike. He had open heart surgery last Feb. consisting of 4 bypasses. He has sugar that seems to be uncontrollable that spikes from extremely low to extremely high. In the rare event he gets to ride the bike, he is scared because he never knows what his sugar is going to do. When he does have problems he will stop somewhere and wait for things to stabilize and then head home, however he is weak and has trouble holding up the bike.
He purchased a Goldwing two weeks ago and has ordered a trike kit from a local Honda dealer. He has always wanted a Goldwing and has finally got his wish. He has always wanted a triked Goldwing, and will finally get his wish. My dad is 5-5 and weighs 120 lbs soaked. The Goldwing at this point is more than he can handle:D This is the reason for the trike. I however had the chance to take it for a ride and WOW was it nice. Smooth, nice driving machine. It was very cool outside and the windshield etc. kept all wind off of me. The only thing that got a little wind was my shirt sleeve. I would love to have a Goldwing. I have wanted one for years. Now after having the chance to take one for a spin??? I really like them! I am glad Dad will get to have his dream.
I am also glad that I will be the new owner of the Aero:D

I considered a gold wing a few years back while commuting 45 miles each way for training. They are very nice out on the open road! Loved the cushy ride and the available power, but hated how heavy it was and that there was basically no low speed manoeuvreability. Since I still ride around in town, I wanted to be sure that I could avoid a dangerous situation by being able to get out of their way. So, I ended up keeping the F4i
