hot wire fuel pump

Can someone give me a step by step to hot wire my fuel pump to by pass the relay to see if the relay is bad? thanks

Just apply 12 volts to the connection near the alternotor. Not the green tab but the brown one. It's a straight power feed to the fuel pump
