can i route the fuel pump hot wire kit such a way that there will be a kind of hidden fuse i can remove and take with me so there will be no voltage to the pump if its removed so no one can steal my car or is this what the relay is for? anyone run this or a similar setup on their car? thanks:)

I'm not sure whose kit you're using, but the Casper's kit comes with a fuse holder and weather-resistant cover that makes it look kind of like a relay. When mounted on the inner fender, it looks like all the other stuff bolted up there - you'd have to know what you're looking for in order to find it. Plus, you'd have to assume that even if a theif did find it that he'd also happen to have an extra fuse on him (or jumper wire, I guess). Theives typically don't have time to do a re-wiring job when boosting your car.

Ditto what turbojimmy said! My car was hot wired when I bought it and removing the fuse and closing the weatherpac fuseholder was my only means of theft prevention at that time. Thieves can crank on it 'till you get back to the car or move on. Hard to spot that fuse holder amongst the factory wiring.

Yes, the wire that comes off the alternator goes to a sealed fuse holder. Open up the holder to remove the fuse.

Guys, this is exactly what saved my car. The thieves got past a dual alarm system, and multiple kill switches. They pushed the car about 3 blocks and couldn't get it started, so they popped the hood and proceeded to test every wire in the bundle that came from the alarm system. The bundle was about an inch in diameter. Right next to it was the fuse holder for the fuel pump. It must have looked like a fuse for the alarm system, because they locked the doors and walked away from it.

You can run that wire into the cabin and put multiple kill switches on it also. Kinda like the deal where you put 6 locks on the front door to your house and only lock 3 of them. That way when someone tries picking the locks, they are always locking 3 of them.

I wont say where mine is but I purposely blew a fuse and then swap good for bad so if they do open it, it looks like a good one is in there. I made my own hotwire kit and connected that weather pac connector to look like one of the relays. I swap anytime I can not watch the car closely.
