how do so many people confuse the words "sale" and "sell"?

It seems that this may be the hardest concept for the car community as a whole to grasp. I cant go through any more than 10 posts without someone asking "Will you sale those wheels?" or ad stating, "For Sell: these wheels". I don't get it.

My wife and I watched a McDonald's worker trying to spell "meals" while we ate a sandwich in the parking lot and it took him 20 minutes. He would get down from the ladder and look at his spelling and try rearranging the letters each time. It was funny at first, then we discussed how in the world we could ever pay the proposed $15 hr minimum wage.
