Hey fast do you have to go before your either have to upgrade from stock axles or before you have to get c-clip eliminators? And what spline axles are the best? 31 spline, 28 spline? Also I heard people before say they have problems with there c-clip elim's leaking, any brand to avoid or any recommended? Thanks!

I can't remember what the rule book says off the top of my head but it's either 11.49 or 10.99 (IHRA). Turbo cars are different but with N/A cars as soon as you get in the 11's it's not a bad idea. I've broke both stock and Strange axles only running high 11's.
A good 28 spline axle (Dutchmen, Moser...) will hold up to quite a bit, but if you are upgrading the diff at the same time go at least 31 or 33 it's usually the same price.
The best way I found to stop them from leaking is ditch the gaskets and use silicone instead. My old Camaro has been that way for 7 years with lots of street driving and still hasn't leaked. Before with the gaskets I was changing them all the time.

NHRA requires "C" clip eliminators at 10.99 and quicker.

So what brand Axles do you guys recommend? If 31 spline or 33 spline are about the same price I might as well go with th 33 spline. Also thinking about upgrading to a Eaton Posi unit since Im running peg-leg right now. What do you guys think?

If you running slicks i would HIGHLY recommend it no matter what. I learned my lesson the hard way in the Camaro....2 rear tires going in opposite direction...yeah it sucks

I have had a couple GN's in the high 10's with stock axles but I wouldn't recommend it. Low 1.5 60' times seem to be where stock 8.5 axles tend to depart company with the rear. Many have gone high 9's with 28 spline Moser stock replacement alxes but that's not NHRA/IHRA legal. Unfortunately there is not an easy way to ugrade a rear without going all the way and buying everything at once.
