Thanks, just wondering how far it would go with a turbo, inj., f/p, upgrade. I dont have a T/R now, just mental building. Also at what power is it hurting you to keep the stocker?

I have had many customer going 10.80's with a stock D5. A few went a little faster, but 10.80's seemed to be the limit. Not many using them today though.

Stock converter works best with a stock turbo and cam. If you want to go bigger with turbo and or cam then you should replace it. Its been in the 10's but you have to beat the balls off the car to run those times with a stock converter and im sure the spoolup from a roll on the street sucked with the turbos they ran to run 10's. The only aftermarket turb othat seems to work good with it is the 44 or 49 with a Garrett .63 ex housing. A 60 might be ok as well. Or BB turbos up to 62 with a good tune. Even with those the converter is not ideal

Fact for some, fiction for other, it's for you to make your mind up what really works...Good Luck in getting another TR
