Ive read in some magizines and on some webpages that good headers will take off 1/2 sec on quarter mile times for the hotairs. Are postons headers this high flowing, I hope so ,Im getting a pair here soon.

Does anyone know how much more power I will recieve bolting these on. Or have any info on installation and tricks that may help getting them on, My 2.5DP was a b-tch, so I can imagine these are going to suck getting them on.
Thanks Guys

No worse than removing/replacing the stock headers. the pass side is a mutha, driver side pretty easy. The crossover pipe they offer will take a little patience though. Can't swear as far as 1/4 times, but I have noticed quicker spool up and better low and mid-range grunt.

Just put mine on today (both headers and crossover). The lower center bolt on the passenger side wasnt any fun. If you have after market bolts with the smaller heads on them you wont have a problem with this bolt. I on the other hand forgot to look into aftermarket bolts and wound up using the stockers. The deal is that the headers are quite a bit bigger in diameter than the stock ones so that one bolt head is right up against the main pipe of the header. It took alot of patience. I found a cheap made in Taiwan socket laying around with very thin walls that helped to get it done:D .
Other than that one bolt the headers were childs play to get on. Only one catch though........still got to do the crossover pipe! Well, I shouldnt have tightened up the headers!! I wound up loosening the headers back up. In fact I had the drivers side all the way back off to get the crossover bolts started on both headers (be careful to get them started straight and not crossthread). Then I was able (with alot of patience) to get the headers back tight, then the crossover tightened.
The setup fits VERY tight. I suspect that this is a good thing once you get around the installation. Ive got to admit that I havent seen any aftermarket header/crossover setups that were a breeze to put on so I wasnt all that mad about it. The pieces look very high quality and as I mentioned above are considerably larger than stock. I put a stock pass. header next to the Poston's pass. header and there was just no comparison. These things should FLOW.

Oh yeah, I think it was Herb (TurboRegal84) who mentioned performance pluses after installing his Poston headers. Try a search and see what you come up with.

nice work wit ur rides and i get the impression that it cn be a pain to install those headers but its worth it i guess but my question here today is where do i find these poston headers for my 85 t type where can i see them and purchase them ? any info is welcome and thanx is there a website to see price?

how do they compare in performance with ATR's SS ones? that's the one i'd like to know. the only disadvantage I can think of is that the SS ones heat up the engine bay more vs the Postons Ceramic ones.

I can't preach enough about these Poston Headers.....

I put a set on my car a year or so ago, and once I got them sealed up they dramatically improved the spool up of the car. One of the first mods after all of the spring cleaning, and fuel related upgrades is EXHAUST!

The Poston Headers provide a great combination of "stock" look, and some modern changes. Where all of the cly's come together and go into the up pipe that area is larger, and it promotes better flow than the small stock header. Just putting the headers side by side (stock and Poston) it is clear that the Poston provides better exhaust flow...Therefore..better as well as faster spool!

When I pulled the heads on my car to replace them with a Ported set I saw that my passenger header had developed a crack. I took it off, and sent it back to Poston no questions asked they sent me a brand new header....Customer Service was excellent.

Unlike the Intercooled cars..The Hot-Airs really wake up to upgraded headers.....The whole system was one of the best $500 I put into the car (other then ported heads and Intake)

I've gone 12's on the headers, and I’m sure with a race gas, tires, and timing I could be approaching the 11's.

thanks

Thanks for your help, hopefully my deal will come through and I can get a set. I have everything but the headers for the exhaust.
atr2.25 crossover atr2.5 DP atr uppipe.

ATR 3 inch exhaust single shot

Next step is heads, and ported intake
