How is "VOLT" light wired? Need help asap

Guys, alternator took a crap, i could hear the windings falling through the case.

new alternator still equals no charge, not getting anything at the charge light, but for some odd reason i can test 12v at the socket? What the hell!

Can i manually jumper to excite the alternator??

Try looking here for some help JT scanned the wire diagrams.

Does the volt light come on right before you start up the car? If not, the alt. will not charge. Check the socket connections on the back of the dash too. HTH

Weird, alternator is charging like a charm, yet the idiot light is totally non functioning. I wonder if someone didnt bypass it before, i cant say ive ever noticed it coming on. I may wire in a new lead just in case
