How much distilled water do I need?

Flushed my system and gonna run RMI25 and distilled water. How much water should I get? Know is will be difficult to get all the water out of the block. I ran a radiator flush through the system and installed a reverse flush kit. All the water is clean but is just tap water. Is there a preferred method to getting the most fluid out of the system? Bottom radiator hose or is the petcock just fine?

Last time I flushed I think I bought 4 gallons and used 2...

Purge the rest out with compressed air?

Without block drains, there's no way to get water out from below the WP inlet ports. 109 blocks have a drain, I believe but there's no way in hell I'd try to pull them with the engine in the car. If by some chance you bugger one up, you just opened up a can for no gain.


Just drain what you can and leave whatever tap water's in the block alone.

FWIW, there are two brass drain plugs...one on each side of the motor. Look next to where the motor mounts bolt to the block. They have a square head on them.
