I picked up a set of 275/50/15 M/T drag radials for my weld wheels. I plan on driving with them almost daily when I switch between my 19"s and my welds. What is the psi everybody is running on the street for economy and performance?

Shoot Otto J a PM. He just ran a 1.38 60' with his radials. That's not far off my best with slicks.

M/T drag radials with 14PSI.
This is what Dave Fiscus recommended and it worked well

radials

on my mt drag radials, i run 30lbs on the street and 18-19 at the track.
my car runs 11.50's. my best 60 ft has been 1.52! car weigh's 3420 w/o driver.

Awesome 60 Otto!

So that is the one most people refer to when they say "Drag Radial Racing" right?

I am stepping up from a 8" to a 10" wide 26" tall, hoping it makes a big difference!

i run 16psi and cut a 1.47 60' the other night, this was with a 5.5psi launch off t-brake. my car is 3600 w/o me in it.

what size

can people please post what size mt drag radial they are runing I just don't want to guess that everyone is runing a 275/50/15

thanks jay

Is it true that if you run them backwards (directional tires), they work better?

1.44 on a 275/60 15

12 psi

i have never heard about trying them backwards though.

presently im running a 325/50 15 ill post the results at the track in a week

the true name is Mickey Thompson ET Street radial
and they are DOT legal radials , drive so much better than the bias ply ET streets and hook damn close to the MT et drag (slick ) but feel much more stable at the top of the track , they dont grow like the slicks seem to do above 100mph

1.42 and 1.43's 23psi in them
275/60-15

have done many 1.5s with the 255/50-16's at same pressure

I run 22psi on my DR 255/60/15 on the street on a 84GN rim
(Same as the 87T-Type)
Handle like my 255/60/15 Cooper street tire
BUT WAY MORE GRIP
