How to change 1st gear shift point

I tried a search and no go.

How does one change 1st gear's shifting point to change at a higher RPM?

I could have sworn I might have caught this question before and something about adding weights to the govorner?

Someone at another forum mentioned his C4 can be adjusted by an allen screw inside the vacuum can that's on his trans. Do 2004R's have the same adjustment?

I assume from 1st gear shift you mean the 1-2 shift point? There is no adjustments by way of any screws, if you add weight to the gov. you change all shift points not just 1-2.

One more thing...if weight is added...can it be done to change it by 100rpm(or whatever it is) incrememnts...

there is no exact sci. to adding weight and it is actually diffacult to add weight, it's usally done by spot weld.
