how to identify a v6 flexplate

anyone know if there is a difference between a v6 and a buick 350 flexplate? if so whats the difference? my problem is that i lost my flexplate in my basement somewhere and need one fast,my buddy has a couple but hes not sure if they're from a 350 or 231 and i kn
ow some parts interchange just wondering if anyone can help me out......thanks,joel

Size and bolt pattern are the same but the position of the weight is in a different location between the two. They don't interchange.

thanks for the quick reply, but how can i tell the difference between the 2 if i have them side by side? my buddy said he has a couple but doesnt know which 1 is which.any idea? thanks, joel
