how much HP Should I be making. Mods are:

TE-60
razors dual alky
forged internals (not the crank though)
42# injectors
front mount intercooler
3000 stall (cant remember who make the converter)
62 mm plenum
hotwire kit
rjc power plate
.30 over
ported heads, new valves and guides
i think ive got a 3 angle valve job
3 in downpipe
3 inch exhaust
204/214 cam
turbo tweak chip.
im thinking around 26#'s of boost

385whp. You should not have more than 15gph worth of alky nozzle on there and even that's a lot if you're using a 3 bar sensor for alky

sen
thats it? thats so depressing. why so lo and any suggestions as to what can i do to get to 500
You will hit backpressure before you see that power with a stage 3 ex wheel. Which im assuming you have since you said te60. If its a Precision its got a 60-1 compressor and a Garrett stage 3 ex wheel. Which is great for a stock cm and heads that will have a lot of torque. Send me your turbo and ill convert it to a p trim turbine and it will make a heck of a difference on your combo over 4800. Where you hit backpressure now the 60-1 compressor you have will just get cranking. You wont be able to run 26psi with those injectors with the turbine change. You will need a new chip with a lot of fuel starting at 4800. Make sure you have about 110lbs on the seat for that cam and boost. It will probably peak around 4800-4900. You may drive over your mystery converter if you cant lock it at WOT. PM me if you want to do the turbine change over

BISON . what kind of gains would he see if he went to 60pd injectors & a chip to match ?

My apologies but im probably going to sound stupid but what do you mean by 110pounds on the seat?

spring tension on your valve springs ..
i dont know what they are but my buddy says they are heavy duty. I was shown a stock spring and what i have in the car and there is a noticeable difference. Even the pushrods are upgraded. I pulled out a pushrod two weeks ago and it had CV8575-3 etched/written/painted on it. Any ideas on the meaning of material #CV8575-3?

I believe those are Trend pushrods out of michigan. They make good stuff i have them in my new engine

140whp@26-27psi if the converter can couple the power. It could be pulled off with injectors as small as 50's.

Id check them. Ive had to replace or redo springs that were not what someone else said they were. You want to at least know what you have. Decent pushrods will be around $90-100 for 16 of them if they are chrome moly

Bison,
Can you do the same conversion on a TE44? I would love to step up the power without buying a new turbo. TE44 and TE60 both have the same size turbine - 57mm exducer T31.

I could but it would be running the t04e 60 trim compressor out of breath. Adding in a compressor wheel and cutting the housing for it will be more expensive. I dont rec Anything smaller than the
60-1 comp wheel. It's cheaper to sell yours and buy a new one. Cal can probably sell you a new one at a great deal.

Just checking. But I will keep Cal in mind, when the time comes to upgrade.

Although it looks like a small number when u always see 500-1500 online your car should be flying with 400hp.. Ive owned a few cars around 400 and not one felt as fast as these heavy sleds we all love soo much :)

With these cars though, the initial intent was torque. I've been in cars that were rated higher in HP, but none launched like my Turbo Regal.

at that boost with a good tune your looking at around 425 hp 500 ft tq mid to low 11's
