I have been working on an 87 Monte Carlo SS Hybrid TSM Project for the last 4 years. I just got the shell back from paint. Rest should be done by the end of next week. Painter is doing great work. Went from lacquer cracked burgandy to single stage black with 2 coats of clear. Looks amazing.

Here is some progress for your viewing pleasure :)

Wow! I guess you get what u pay for. Do I dare ask what that paint job cost?

Looks great! Did you soda blast the body?? I'm working on mine now - mine looks like your before pictures. Good luck with your project.

what did you coat the floor with? did you take the interior metal down to bare or just coat over the factory coating? BTW looks great!!

HMBTurboT - Didn't sodablast. I was going to but all my painters were advising against it. Aparently a lot of the jobs that have been done with the soda were not prepped correctly or rinsed correctly and had runs. They stripped it with 80 grit and built it back up.

trans damn - floor is coated with POR-15 Sprayed on. Scuffed with scotchbrite pads, cleaned with the marine clean and other POR-15 solvents and sprayed it on. Came out great! Thanks for the kind remarks!
