I am being relocated to Portland Oregon (Tualatin to be exact) and know nobody in the area. Anyone from the board out this way? I should physically be in Oregon by March 3rd and hope to be fully moved in (less the GN) the following week. My Grand National is still motorless so its going to Tom Shea Racing to wait until the motor is done. I should have my GN in Oregon by July at the latest.

If anyone is up for meeting and possibly showing me around a bit I wouldnt mind.

There are quite a few Portland area folks. You will have to participate in Turbo Thunder in July (Bremerton Wa.). It is a GREAT time. I live about 4 hours north of Portland. There are quite a few Turbo Buick guys in the Seattle area, and even a guy or two just across the Washington border in Vancouver, Wa. And then there are the Vancouver B.C. Canadian folks. They all come down for Turbo Thunder (at least the REAL Turbo heads.;) You will have to endure alot of rain in Portland. Oregon politics are SCARY at best, but that is for the another forum. Welcome to the great Northwest. On the three days that it is nice here, it makes up for all the rainy ones.

If my car is back up and running (which I hope it is) I might just have to bring it up there.

As for the rain, I have been there, its not to bad. The winter is rainy, the summer is pretty good. Anything is better than here, its either extremely cold (currently -1 with a -17 windchill) or extremely hot (temps in the summer are routinely hotter and more humid than Miami). Also, rain is much better than snow that melts, turns to ice, and then stays so cold it doesnt melt until May. :D

Terry last year was racing a dodge turbo mini-van and I beleive holds the record for that class, around 12.2 or so, Terry chime in and correct me if I'm too far off base on this. Do not forget Ryan Guy also, now I'm talking Portland area.

Then you gotta watch out for that Ken B. guy...he does evil things with stock parts, a welder and a twisted mind:biggrin:

Welcome to the PNW!
