ok this is whats been going on with the t-type. i ran the car last year with a best of 8.0 never got higher than 8.3 no matter what i did. great for me but a few months after my tranny went out so i had speedy transmissions in doraville rebuild and put blue clutches and shiftkit and all in it. well to say the least i was not overall satisfied at all. first thing was i asked them to rebuild a 2800 stall converter for me well he opened it up and says its good. so i put it back in and the converter wasn't rebuilt to find out later on. so i had to go with a stock converter after paying 145 dollars for a rebuilt on that didn't work for **** and whined. so i took the car to him and said the converter is bad so i wasn't taking the tranny out again and puttin it back in so i took the car to him. well after 2 weeks the car was right xmas eve i got the car back well 2 weeks later tranny acts up took it to him and had it towed fixed in a few days. got it back and few weeks later something else went bad and wouldn't shift into 2nd when floored. i took it back to him fixed it week later. shifts like grannys car into 2nd and not only that but i ran 8.8 in the 1/8 constently. 2.1 60 ft compared to 1.8 before. not only did i run .8 slower but that .8 slower after my underdrive pulleys were installed race version of the pulleys to. THINK ITS TIME FOR AN ART CARR???

no, its not time for art carr. its time you take it to someone who knows how to work on these trannys. ive been there and i know it sucks. ask around on the board, theres probably someone nearby you who could take care of it. im going through the same sh$t right now. good luck

i am very happy with my art carr. spending more up front might save more in the long run. a friend found this out the hard way.
