...today,for instance...it started right up,ticked for about 5 seconds(VR1-20/50) ...idled down fine...pulling out of my development,themstat just opening @170,dropping to 164*...pulled out onto concrete 2 lane hwy,went halfway down on throttle,the nittos let loose and black-tracked til the shift at 3500 or so...at which time it went to the floor...boost shot to 28, alky lite shining in my face....at about 50 it was trying to swap lanes...held it to 5200... it jumped into 3rd like ajet.....held it there til the landmark/sign pole that designated 2.5 mi. speedo said 114. Ran like this all summer without a glitch or leak or complaint..even got over 20mpgs ,when i drive it civilized... i think thats good for low 12's?... the converters tight and brakes are stockers..new,but stock. just wont leave the line with any real boost..pushes at 4-5 Lbs. I cruise the local hwy's trying,hoping to line up with something worthy..never happens. last week, a new GT stang was alone at a lite ahead and at the last second a car jumped in front of me...damn! i love this car.
