I don't like the header bolts.

I've been thinking of cutting off the extra threads on the header bolts that IMHO just get in the way.

Seems like these may have been used to bolt a heat shield or something to cover the headers.

Any reason not to do this?

Don't cut them off.Save them for later use[accessory bracket positions] and change them for some good grade bolts or studs and nuts.

I agree with saving them and changing them, but a die grinder solved my problems.

Not sure why they used so many with studs on them.

Probably cheaper in bulk.
