It's called Pull-A-Part, I can't believe I've never been there. My friend and I spent all day looking around. We ended up pulling an entire serpentine belt set up off of two cars for my 69 Chevelle. I bought an alternator, power steering pump, belt, brackets, throttle cable, misc GM connectors, fan,and all the pulleys for $129.00 Summit Racing sells a serpentine kit for $829.95 I'm a happy guy. My Chevelle will have a fuel injected 406 CID with new style accessories and sensors. It should be ready for paint in a couple of weeks. Ok, I'm done, just had to share.

OK enough about the parts.........lets see some pics of the car
I have owned 5 Chevelles. My last one was a 69 SS.

Have a 71 SS for sale big block maching number car..;)

Would love to see it....but...
With my wife in jeopardy of losing her job in Dec. I am not in a position to purchase. With what spent on my GN to purchase it, GN1 heads, turbo, Alky, roller cam and lifters, rockers, then the RPE stroker motor with a different roller cam, a tranny, double pumper, New Stage III tranny from Lonnie 2 weeks ago, New PTC converter tonight, my wife is not too keen on my car right now.
Shoot me some pics and info to 9secondv6@centurytel.net

Thanks
Bryan

Pics and story

I picked up this 1969 Chevelle last winter from a co-worker, it had sat under a pine tree for about 15 years. A few stats, 30 over 406, mild cam, roller rockers, trick flow heads, 3500 stall, 373 gears, bucket seats and it actually runs great. My co-worker could have sold this car dozens of times over the years but had an attachment to it because it was his first car. He actually sold it to me for 2k less than I offered him. He said, I know you'll fix it up.
It didn't look too bad for the conditions it had to endure. Once I got it home and dug into it I soon realized it needed major body work. If you look at the quarters from the outside you would never know they had been patched in several spots. Every body panel ended up having rivets and roofing tar in them, except front fenders. They were NOS bought on last restoration 20 years ago. I was a little disappointed in myself for not looking it over better. To be honest, I would have bought it anyway.
Pretty much everything on the car will have been replaced except the roof and front fenders. I have a new repop hood, doors, quarters, wheel houses, trunk, bumpers and interior. I still need a few interior pieces and some misc trim. It will be finished in Arrival blue with the SS stripe on the sides, possibly silver.

Motor cleaned up. Decided to go fuel injection and have it painted blue to match exterior, just wanted to show you how nice it turned out.

It may not show it in this picture, but both quarter are on, new floors, rear tail, trunk, trunk extensions, wheel houses, and cowl. I'm sure I'm forgetting some stuff. All the inside of panels and floors were painted with POR-15.

You wanted pics, I gave you the whole story. I have dozens of pictures of the restoration for documentation purposes. If I ever have to sell it, I think a potential buyer would appreciate knowing exactly what their getting.

Drivers side, again, there is major progress from these pics. Don't remember if I said it up top or not, but there is about 80 man hours in the car. My body man says he has about 80 to go, should be in paint in two weeks. As long as we don't run into anything unexpected with our schedules.

These two panels ready for primer and block sanding. Randy is going to move to the cowl and work his way around the other side. We will paint the motor, firewall, serpentine brackets, frame rails, install motor and fit the fenders.
