SignUp Now!First, my statement wasn't an argument, bud. Driving with liability only insurance is driving with no insurance for yourself, and that's just plain stupid, IMO.
Second, your "covered this no problem" statement only goes to show you to be pretty naive when it comes to business insurance. You have no idea that probably every one of the stores/dealers/shops where these guys worked never used the insuarnce to pay for repairs to vehicles damaged in their places of business. They just paid it out of store profits and took it as a loss because, like "a lot of people drive their cars w/o full coverage all the time" for a business owner to be able to afford a gargekeepers policy they more often than not purchase them with deductibles starting at $50 -75K. You have to mess up something pretty bad to make it worth filing a claim. So GBP would be coming directly out of pocket on this deal if he ends up paying.
There are always 3 sides to a story. Person #1's, Person#2's and the Truth.
None of us weighing in here know the whole story, we don't know Brian's side yet and the truth, well, "It's out there".
Like I said Quicksixxxx, I have no dog in this fight but until you can prove you know what your talking about and that you have a thorough understanding of how business insurance really works, don't come in here spouting off about how "easy" this all could be.
It's not.
You change your own oil or anything else when your at some one elses shop? And hey man, lets take GBP out of this....
If you bring you car anywhere for work, it has to be given back in the same condition it was brought there in (obviously + any upgrades, if that was the scope). Like MANY people on this thread have said, oil plug left out, fix it, scratched, fix it, flat tire, fix it, roof falls on it, fix it. Simple I would say.
Okay, good luck to all, gang up on me, support me do whatever you want, say what you want, try and offend me I wont chime in anymore.
I wish the two parties the best.
You change your own oil or anything else when your at some one elses shop?
Well I was asked by my employees who were here during the event not to even read the "True story", Which is total BS. Let me start with who hops on the band wagon with out knowing there is a second side to every story. SuperSix Mark Santiago who stole our business name by changing the e-mail address & embezzled me for $4500. Took my site down for 2 weeks. That is right I am not allowed to publicly discuss because he had me sign a paper under direst. You have balls idiot. Shane Grimsley can back this up he still has the e-mails as do I. Go back under your rock crack head. Don't like it sue me. Which is getting ready to happen here. I'm going to step away for a few minutes to calm down. but trust me I 'll be posting here shortly. He isn't the only one with pictures. Fire fighter my ass he never grabbed a extinguisher but wathched it burn for 5 minutes. Like I said I am going to walk away for a few. My employees weren't kidding.
No need to you want to get into my post with me I will call you out. No deflection here & I don't think Shane is worried about what you have to say. No Pr disaster & the truth will come out. We can handle your shister acts here or have Shane move it. No $ here for you today. We can speak when ever you would like. 3 years of non maintenance is easy to prove. I didn't embezzle you.Whoa, fella. Don't deflect on me. You have much bigger fish to fry than me. I was pretty goddamn diplomatic in my posts, and for the most part, I plan to stay that way.
This website you speak of. Gbodyparts.com, right?
The one I set up and maintained for 3+ years?
The site that I handled all the hosting, and ended up paying for it most of the time, because your credit cards were always getting declined?
The site that arguably built much if not most of your business in your first years?
The cost of just having to deal with your scatter-brained business tactics was worth 10k at least. I sincerely hope you consider rudimentary business classes, at the local community college.
I know what the online sales were when you finally paid something for the services and site when I sold it to you. $4500 is a pittance compared to what I helped you sell, saving your ass because you couldn't pay the >$15.00 hosting bill.
Oh yea, you sent me some parts. A rusty turbo shield, a Translator Plus that was Bailey's test mule (Rare, I guess?), and some shitty bumper fillers. Yay.
I wouldn't piss on you of you were on fire much less sue you, you can get blood from a stone.
I suggest you focus your attention to the PR disaster you have here.
Or should we discuss what you say about Shane behind his back?
(Don't worry admins, I won't air anything like that)
We can continue this via PM, if you care to, Brian.
Have you had an investigator independent of the city where your car burned evaluate the cause? Just a thought. At GBodyParts waiting on work to start.View attachment 196007This is what its here to get rid ofView attachment 196008Brian at work on my carView attachment 196009The aftermathView attachment 196011 The statute of limitations on this 3 years. There is still over a year left to take legal action. I'm hoping to avoid having to go that route. My plan for the car was to get an 'Agreed Value' insurance policy on it after it was appraised in its completed stage. It was going in for paint after this and then on to the appraiser. At the time of the incident I didn't have a full coverage policy on it. I wish I was joking about this. View attachment 196004View attachment 196005View attachment 196006View attachment 196007
Brian I agree, I have no idea why this guy was working on his car at your shop,!! Like I said I took your company out of the equation and made my comment but I realize that it was somewhat derogatory toward you so I apologize. Like I mentioned I spent a lot at your company so I think that has to count for something and I am looking forward to hearing your side of this story.
Thanks
Yes that will come soon enough. Offered to call a second opinion in & was refused.Have you had an investigator independent of the city where your car burned evaluate the cause? Just a thought.
Charlie it is up to you. If you let that POS post I will chew him up & spit him out. Either here or another section. I wasn't the one with $ problems who embezzled him. He was a POS, he is a POS, & will always be a POS. Just so we are clear. You may want to speak with Shane.OK guys, this is between 2 members and 1 is a vendor. It's up to Brian to address this and not up to others to take pot shots at Brian or Clay. I understand that you're upset Brian but ignore Marks post. That's a separate issue all together so leave it alone for now. I'm not getting in the middle here but trying to keep this on target so hopefully this will get some resolution.
Well that seems fair and professional.Yes that will come soon enough. Offered to call a second opinion in & was refused.

He stated our fire marshal who wrote the report with his 30 years experience wasn't experienced. I offered in another opinion from a larger area, Greenville or Raleigh. It was declined.Well that seems fair and professional.
No pressure of me telling any one. Your actions speak clearly. I'm just telling you, screw with the Bull you get the horns.Vendor pressuring to get me banned. nice. Not exactly "thinly veiled", but you're not known for your wit.
Anyway, as I said above, and as a courtesy to Charlie, Jay, and Shane - I will end this here.
Sorry for the distraction, OP.
