Contact Autometer direct. They have a very good Customer Service department and should take very good care of you on the fix. They will want to know where you got it and how old it is. If it's reading positive boost pressure at idle and way too high under WOT with no signs of detonation or running lean, I would suspect it of being bad. The turbo won't build boost at idle in park with your foot off the gas. Gauge sounds defective or out of calibration too me. Those types of gauges should also have the needle at or as close to zero as possible when the car is off.
