Amusing story that ties in with this. Recently attended a parts managers conference for Porsche N.A. One of the featured speakers was a weenie from tire rack sucking up to us for tire business. First words out of my mouth were "why should I when your 'wholesale price' is maybe 10% below retail?" The response was a new "special price program" just for us dealers- well long and short of it is after reviewing his prices and some old invoices I discovered that Prestige Tire out of Ohio was selling me tires FREIGHT INCLUDED for less than tire rack BEFORE adding freight. So don't feel alone in being hosed by these yutzes!
I will NEVER use Tirerack again!
