IAT Bung Size?

Is the Bung for IAT relocal the same size as an O2 bung? I screwed an IAT sensor into a 02 bung and it seemed to tighten up snug but felt loose going in...... I am trying to put my IAT in the up pipe and want to get correct size bung!

Ummmm....NO..the IAT bung is 3/8 npt .. that is 3/8 pipe thread later joe

The IAT sensor is a 3/8" pipe thread. Here's exactly what you need. Stef's Weld-In N.P.T. Fittings: STF-8814 - summitracing.com That is IF you have an aluminum up pipe. If you have a steel/stainless up pipe, then buy this one: 3/8" NPT Steel Weld-On Bung for IAT or CLT Sensor Home Depot should also have a 3/8 NPT black iron one that can be brazed to a steel/stainless up pipe. You can also buy a brass adaptor and silver solder it in place. Lots of choices.

Just relocated mine yesterday with a Black iron 3/8" NPT NPT female from the local hardware store. Quick and easy. You may want to cut it down in length with a grinder.
