Just curious as to why my 200-4r has the ID tag on the wrong side . Tag is green . From the numbers and letters on the tag one source says ( chart ) that is was a 1990 behind a 307 Olds ?

An AC Delco Remanufactured stick on tag was near the top of the case and stenciled in large black letters on top of the case was OKTF if my memory is correct .

Thanks . . . . Gordon

Code KTF was used behind an Olds 307. Is this trans in a turbo car? Not a big deal as long as it is shifting ok.

Not in a turbo car . 34 Chevrolet . Shifts ok except 1-2 shift is a litttle delayed . 700 plunger spring too long , I think ????? Stiil wonder about the tag being on the wrong side .

Thanks . . . . Gordon

The infamous green ID Tag on the wrong side of the case .

It looks like someone glued it on that side after a rebuild. Why? Who knows. You can see the hole in the center for the rivet where it is normally held on the right side of the trans. Is there a hole on the right side near the tail shaft for a rivet?

Yes , the rivet is still in the hole . Looks like the tag would have been torn from removal . Kind of weird .

Just wondering if this is something GM / Delco does on rheir remanned transmissions ??

Didn't know anything about 200-4r's ( still don't know much ) . Got this core out of the junk yard . It appeared to be the cleanest one ( I use that term loosely ) in the yard . I gutted it to see if it would fit without cutting the X/K member on the 34 . Fit like a glove . Got a ATSG manual and went at it .
