Idle quality? stumble?

Hi, I have an '85 T-type, its stock, I just installed some autocraft # 6plugs @.032 gap. I performed a compression test prior and had the orange wire to the ecm disconnected for that. I don't know if I didn't put my wires back in the correct spots, thought this is wastespark anyways? It has a bit of a stumble every few seconds. maybe a plug got dirty on its way into the engine?

Any thoughts?

What are Autocraft plugs? Autolite? Motorcraft?

I think, since you disconnected the orange wire, the ecm lost it's settings and has to learn them again.
Maybe give it some time and see if it gets better after some running & idling time.
Our 85 had some stumble. I very gently cleaned the MAF sensor with the special cleaner they make
and the car has no more stumble. So maybe your maf has some dirt on it.

What kind of cleaner did u use & how often is this need to be done? Had my maf on a few years & never have cleaned it. cars runs great tho

MAF cleaner available at most auto parts stores. They say other cleaners may be too harsh.
This was the first time I ever cleaned it in 140k miles and 29 years of ownership. There was just
a little residue on it. However in one of my other cars with a K & N filter that uses oil on the element,
I could see more build up of crud on it.
I'd say if the car is running good don't mess with it.
