No worries Jeremy:cool:

Tim you lucky sob you are getting one hell of a deal:) The intake is basically a peice of TR history and your going to be the only one in your area with one:D

Theres a 87 here in town thats out on the weekends and his car is way faster than mine, which has got me a F***** up name. The slow GN!  Well I hope we can change that soon!I'll be sending the money order to him shorty! I'm going to try to get it in soon! Time to order other parts!!!!!! Who makes a good adjustable fuel reg.? I heard ATR had a preatty lousy one? I also need the walbro fuel pump Can I find them at the same place?? Thanks for all your feedback. I'm going to do swap computers also. My stock hot air is about to go through some changes!!! It might be worthy of a Sig when I;m done. Thanks for all the help.I have a feeling I'll be starting a new V2 thread soon. People running these kits, Please share DO's and Dont's of instalation. I want to know as much about the process before I got a pile of parts in the shop!!

The V2 installation - is pretty much a remove old stuff and put the new stuff on. Clocking the turbo - playing with the wastegate - and plumbing the intercooler.

The ATR regulator isn't bad - but there are better ones available.

I have a bare V2 intake that I will sell if anybody
wants one. Just add the 86/87 throttle body,
throttle cable, and IC and fab your own
vacuum block and you have the kit.

i would go with the accufab regulator and the racetronix fuel pump kit. kind of weird that a tiny little regultor is the same price as a fuel pump kit

To all of you who are teeing off of the vacuum line to the fuel pressure regulator to get a source of vacuum for something else, DON'T DO IT...You are asking for trouble in the long run...Find another source for vacuum...You want your fuel pressure to be rock steady under boost and teeing into that line MAY cause problems with that later...

Sorry to hijack this thread to make my post...

Back to the TM V2 posts...

BTW, you should be real happy with that setup once you have it installed and the motor tuned properly...

Why not T in to it?? That is where I'm running my boost guage from. Where should it go? on any other vac line? thanks for the interuption, what problems doe it cause?

These regulators are actually rising rate FMU's (fuel management units) they increase Fp when boost is applied....the last thing you want is to adversly affect that correlation between boost and Fp. While I cannot personally illustrate 100% cause and effect problems, it is cheap insurance to just avoid the whole situation by not T'ing off the regulator. There are tons of other vacuum ports and nipples on these engines...so, why risk it.

THis is only theory as far as I know, but so is gravity, and I don't intend to drive my car off any cliffs to prove Newtons theory, just as I wont be T'ing off the regulator and risking Pistons/ring lands/rod bearings.

If you still are running a stock 84/5 intake, there is a pipe plug fitting pointing forward on the front driver's corner of the intake on the plenum behind the coil pack...Take that plug out and put a fitting on it with a nipple for a hose for your boost gauge, and you can Tee off of it and run as many vacuum lines from it as you want...

Go here to this link and look at the last picture(bottom right side of webpage)...The plug is just to the right of the thermostat housing and just above the coolant passage crossover right next to where the coolant temp sensor that points straight up...Bottom right corner of the front face of the plenum as pictured...
